Yessss I second this as a vet assistant, and working in animal rescue. From personal experience, parents got a puppy and I was visiting the farm, he was very sleepy and chill which I had mentioned to my mom and said it was unusual and asked if he has been to the vet yet. She said no, for mad I asked (she knows more than me obviously) and two days later I got a panicked call that he was dying. Poor pup spent a week at the vet for parvo. He lived. Another time, my massage therapist had told me she was looking after a pup she had picked up from a breeder for her cousin and said it was sick. So since it's part of my job, I started asking her the regular questions and said "it sounds like parvo, did you bring him with you to work. Of course she did because she couldn't leave him at home all day and so I looked him over. He was hot, listful, not interested in food and obviously not well. She texted me that evening to say he has parvo and thankfully he lived. But jeez. I've seen two cases of pups surviving but so many more who haven't. Breaks my heart when animals are sick.
